One thing you can't miss out on doing when you are in London in winter is skating at one of the temporay ice rinks that get put up around the city. So a group of us headed off one night to do just that hoping that none of us would fall over and hurt ourselves.
Our destination was Somerset House which is really beautiful, as it was after Christmas the large tree had already come down but that didn't stop the excitement of getting out on the ice. We had all been skating before although some better than others. Scott who had only been once before managed to do a few rounds by himself and I am pleased to say that no one fell over and there were no injuries, success all around.
After skating we went to a pub for dinner, it was a typical English pub. The thing that wasn't normal about this pub was the family of mice that had taken up residence there. Even the staff were watching them run around the floor - I doubt that we will go back there any time soon!
